2009 Run Scared 5K

6 CC-City runners raced around Seward Park in today's Run Scared 5k. We were dressed as dominoes numbered 1-6 and were joined by two toddlers, masquerading as a bunny and a bear. The morning was bright and blusteryand the course was as expected-- around the park from the Pottery Studio, upthe Tuesday night sprint hill, around the upper loop and back down to finishby the picnic shelters. All race fees went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and each runner received a trick-or-treat bag with a race mugand various coupons and ads. Although our team costume was not rewarded,two runners left with prizes, one for placing at the finish and the other adoor prize. It was a great start to this Halloween weekend.
